Exclamation All Items disappeared from Navigation Pane even though they are seen in create query design

Something happened while working on my DB that closed it down and saved a backup, however both the original and backup don't show anything in the navigation pane, even though the db obviously has all the tables and queries as is obvious from the size and also I can choose in create query in query design the querys and tables in the db.

I have tried compacting restarting the pc with no success.

Immediate help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

No, that wont help, that opens an closes the navigation pane. My issue is that all items in the navigation pane disappeared.
