Question Subform in Switchboard not updating

I have a subform that contains parameters used as selection criteria for some of my queries.

    Here are my requirements:
I want to select data in queries based on Salesman and date. I don't want the salesman have to input these parameters everytime they run a report using my selection queries. They should only have to put the information in once. We have 12 salesmen, but I want only one active record.

This is how I did it.
I've created a table with a single entry that has those two fields in it. I've created a subform based on the table.
    • Single Form
    • no addition
    • no deletion
    • yes on edit
    • yes on data entry
    • no record selector
    • no navigation buttons
    • no scrollbars

    Problem:
Stand alone I can update the subform.
But when I put the subform in the switchboard form, I can't see to update the fields.

    1. What should I check for to make this subform work?
    2. Is there a better way to do this?

Check the subform's record source after placed on the switchboard; it may be invalid or have an improper filter.

    Resolved

I discovered that while the subform allowed update, the switchboard did not allow update. When I changed that everything worked out fine. However I then decided to moved the fields to the the switchboard and only use text fields from the switchboard rather than use a table to store the data. I only need the data for the session. This is working out great.
