    Function not found errors

I get error of Function not found on common functions like Trim(), str() etc.

I just received a new company laptop with Access installed and moved in my application from Access 2007.
What do I have to do to get Access to recognize the appropriate library?

It sounds like your application has a BOGUS Missing Reference.

You should be able to delete the BOGUS reference yourself. From a code window go to Tools>References. If you see a *MISSING* reference then uncheck it and see if your project will compile.

Remember, I said it was a *BOGUS* missing reference. I'm not sure how they get checked but the reference is not usually needed for the current project and can be safely unchecked. It is not an installation issue.
