Smile Custom messages to Access' default error messages.

Hello everyone. I wanna know if there's a way to replace the usual error messages that appear in Access (those messages that are generated not by VBA, but by its engine).

For example, when a user attempts to encode a foreign key that cannot be found in its pertinent master list table, I should be able to show a custom message instead of the usual "Microsoft Jet cannot find...."

I know how to create foreign key validations via code, but isn't there any simpler way of doing it? For example, can I just say "On Error 500 Go To..." instead of creating a DAO recordset to find a foreign key value in a master list?

    Looking forward to receiving replies.

    Thanks a lot!

    Joe
