Unable to access Forms and Modules

I have been unable to open Forms or Modules in Design mode. I have used a password unlocker and it says there is no password on the database. I have also set the AllowBypassKey = true and false with no luck. The Forms and Modules are still inaccessable. The original creator of the database has passed away and the company it belongs to are unable to make changes. Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by inaccessible? When you open the database holding the Shift key down, do the forms etc show in the navigation pane? If yes, you right-click and the Design View is greyed out?

    Please be more specific.

You are correct. The Design View remains greyed out. Even if I bypass startup by holding down the shift key. I am able to see all the forms and modules in the menu. I cannot open them. We have also tried importing to a fresh database. It would not allow us to import the forms or the modules to the new database.

When I try to run the Security Wizard it gives me an error that I cannot run the Security Wizard with an MDE database. Although the file I am clicking on has an mdb extension. Also under User and Group Permissions the Admin user does not have Read Data, Update Data, Insert Data or Delete Data on reports or forms.

I wonder if someone changed the file extension? It is behaving as if it is an mde. Assuming that it the case, the original mdb should be around somewhere, maybe on his hard drive? Otherwise I think you are in trouble!
