    Help with data model/er diagram

    Hi all,

trying to add in an optional extras table for products to the data model. I initially thought a many to many relationship would be needed so created a link table but now am not so sure this is correct.....

We produce many products which have different model ranges and each product has many optional extra choices. However the optional extras differ depending on what the product is.

    Any pointers would be great!

    Thank you in advance

id make a model building form
youd select the model (master form)
and the sub form you would add the options.

Following on from the above topic, I have the start of a table (tbl_BuildSheet) which will be populated by a build form but am unsure of the best way to link this to the tbl_orders once the order comes in from our salesman.

    This is what I have....

    BuildSheet.pdf

Do I simply need Order_ID as an FK in tbl_BuildSheet considering that there could be many trailer builds to an order but any number of trailer builds can only have 1 order?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
