Moving from vs 07 to vs 97

I feel like a bumbling fool - Lost and confused most of the time.

I just did not think backing up a few versions would be that hard. Can someone recommend a good reference book for Access 97.

I don't think you can go directly from 07 to 97. Do you have 2k, XP or 03? I know XP can go to 97.

I'm sorry, let me restate my frustration. I have 07 at home and it is what I am use to working in. I just recently to a job in a office and their version is 97. I am not use to the user interface it is a little confusing and off putting.

I am a lot calmer today

Most of us have exactly the opposite problem. We started with 97, 2k, etc. and have been struggling with 07 since it came out. There are tons of great books out there on < 07. Most of the Tutorial sites are < 07 like: http://datapigtechnologies.com/AccessMain.htm

you'll find plenty of used, cheap Access97 books at Amazon.

I myself refuse any new design work in that version. Not that there was anything wrong with it at the time...but it is no longer supported and the improvements across time are significant.

Backups are just copy/paste - one doesn't need to know anything about 97 for that task....
