    You would normally save the ID number, not the text. The combo is bound to the ID, so that's what it saves. The combo should be bound to the produitId field, not the produitNom field, which shouldn't even exist in that table.

    Ok i understand what you re saying. I ll try changing the structure of my db . Thanks a lot for your help,i understand better my mistakes

    Hi
    i have been working on it the whole day and i v tried everything you have told me plus what i have research and i don t get it still. The same problem happens all the time,on the invoice table it s not a name that is saved but a number. you have told me that it s not possible so how do i get from a query the produitname then to display it on a report

    yes i did.But there is a value i need from that saving for a report.It s produitNom.I ant to display it with other field on a report. Is there somewhere where i went wrong or is there any other way to use the update button

    As I said on your other thread, you base the report on a query that joins the tables together.
