Prevent Duplicates

I hope this isn't a difficult thing to do but I'm a newb and want to prevent typing duplicates into a column. Does anyone have an easy way to do this? Thanks!

Research Primary Key

I realized afterwards that it meant the primary key but I ended up realizing I can adjust the indexing area of the non-primary key column to yes (no duplicates) and now it will not allow me to add duplicates in that specific column I was concerned about. Thanks for the help
