Access 2016 queries from older database not working - undefined function errors

I bought a new pc and installed Office 365 including Access 2016. A database copied from my old pc opens fine. But some queries do not work, or they work but will not open in design view. I get error messages that read "Undefined function 'CStr' in expression." or "Undefined function 'Trim' in expression."

Trim in Excel still works, so I would find it hard to believe that they would have removed the function from Access.

    Thanks for your help.

D'oh. A couple minutes after posting I realized I hadn't tried rebooting. Problem solved.
