We have a db that is accessed by multiple users.
I originally split the database and uploaded the tables to SharePoint lists. The db ran slow, but was useable. As time has progressed, with more data being added weekly, it began to run slower and slower and some of the filters in our forms stopped working.
When I made a copy and converted the tables to "local", everything works fine. So my next solution was to upload the Back End, not as SharePoint Lists, but as the Back End Access file.
The performance is fine, but SharePoint keeps automatically creating duplicates of the Back End file as multiple users use it.
Does anyone have any solution for this. I'm ready to give up on SharePoint for our Access db and look into either a Server that everyone accesses by Remote Desktop or I need to learn more about Microsoft Azure.
If anyone has suggestions, I would appreciate the input.
