Status Field used to locate Amount in either Approved, Pending or Approximate Column of a report

I have a data base which contains a STATUS field and an AMOUNT field both in the same table. In the report I am trying to place the AMOUNT in one of three columns based upon the STATUS being A (Approved), P (Pending) or X (Approximate).

I have attached screenshots from the database and the report for your review and assistance.

Everything was going fine till you removed "=" sign. Put it back in and repeat steps for another two columns. It's calculated value so it must start with "=" and when you removed it Access assumed it's a field name and put square brackets around it, which is obviously wrong.

=IFF statement requesting Parameter Value and then returns #error

I re-input the IIF statement leaving the = sign in. I used two fields, one for the Approved Amount Value (AAMT) and one for the Approximate Value (XAMT). When selecting Report View, I am then prompted to Enter a Parameter Value for PVO? Pressing ESC returns to the Design View. Inputting any value then prompts to Enter a Parameter Value for AAMT. Curiously enough if does not request a value for XAMT.

With inputting a value of 1 for each, the report runs but the output for each field (AAMT & XAMT) is represented as #error.

Created Query of PVO Table and then added calcualtion columns for the required columns

An associate here recommended that I create a Query of the PVO Table. In this query we added new columns for Approved, Pending & Approximate values.

I have attached the relevant information that got me to the desired result.

Thank You very much for the extremely quick replies on this forum.
