Document 1000,s Access DBs automatically

I've been able to find a few tools out there that will document a database nicely or compare a couple of databases. But I've got about 400,000 databases so I need a tool that I can point at a folder and it will loop through databases (and subfolders of databases) and document each one.

Does such a tool exist?



If not then do you know of a vb, vba, vb.net sample code that will get me at least part of the way to what I need?

I dont have an answer for you. I am just extremely interested in knowing how you managed to acquire 400,000 databases and what they contain.

I'm afraid I don't know. I client contacted me to ask if I could help determine what's in all these databases and how they're related to each other. They suspect that some of the databases are used for data analysis and reporting (based on data from some of the other databases).

I think I'm going to make a new Access database and write code to loop through their dbs and extract the metadata info. Do you have any leads to help me in this direction?

I'm afraid I don't. I wouldn't even know where or how to begin. I am interested in the solution however. so if/when you find out, please update this thread.
