Exclamation Weird "Totals function" going to make me insane access 2013

    Dear Gents,
Um facing very weird problem in access with Totals built-in function !
I created a query and drag totals function inside it and it works perfectly every time i run the query,
But when i run a form and press the "ShowMyReport" button it don't show me total hours !! it's an empty cell only !
if i returned back to run query without the form , It works perfectly again!
Can anyone help because this is the last step remaining for me in that project is to sum total hours worked by the employee in a specific period !
or if anyone knows another way to sum total cells in one column will be very thankful )))

Are you referencing any text boxes (ie dates) in the query? if so, these must have the full path forms!frmMyForm!txtSTartDate

IF there are any NULLs in the data, the result will be null. Convert nulls to 0 using NZ([hrs]) as Hours

the totals function works in a query - and is not transferred to a report.

Assuming your report is using a datasheet subform, try setting the total there

As Ajax notes, the Totals setting on table/query does not transfer into form or report design. If form is datasheet can click the Totals button on ribbon to open the aggregate function row. If not in datasheet then use a textbox in footer section with expression: =Sum([fieldname])
