Wink problem at creating a query that linked to 2 tables :(

    here is the thing guys

I have two tables linked through a key
the thing is tbl2 has data that might linked to other data at tbl1.

so when trying to create a query ( a query that has fields for both tables ) about all the data at tbl2 .
only the linked data at both tables shows making all the data that is not related at tbl2 excluded.

So is there away to make the data which is not related to tbl1 to show and the fields of tbl1 in the query show as blank?

I know I might mis-explained it , so feel free to ask me to rephrase the whole thing
