    Access 2016

Is anyone using it (Access 2016)? I have a client who has a 2003 database - does anyone know of any issues he would have upgrading to 2016?

    Thank you for your input!

Converting db from 2003 to 2013 format is simple. I presume 2016 has the same functionality.

Issues that may be encountered are removal of some functionality client presently depends on. If set up in earlier versions, they might still run in 2016 but cannot modify or set up new. No longer in Access:

    Workgroups

    Pivot tables/charts

    Collect Data

So long as you don't have too many ActiveX controls, the conversion should be pretty straight forward. You will probably also need to create some ribbons in replacement of any menus.

My team just recently converted 60 mdb's to 2010 accdb in about 4 days. Asside from the deprecated activeX controls and menu bars, the conversion was pretty painless.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
