How to have Access accept N/A in a Date Field

    Hi

I created a table and the data type of field I selected was date which works perfect, but now some information do not need a date and instead of leaving a blank I would like to put something like N/A but access wont allow me. Does anybody know perhaps if there is a way (trick) where I can put N/A in the date field without me having to change the field type to text?

Only thing I can think of is to add a checkbox ("N/A") next to the date field and leave the data field blank.

Or leave it null and display N/A on forms or reports. You can't put text in a date/time field.

I use a date of zero (0) for N/A. Null means not answered yet.
