Hi - I am relatively new to Access and I what I am trying to do is combine multiple records from Excel for the same person into the one Access form.



I have an Excel spreadsheet with 3-4 records for the same person with different amounts per record. If I import this to Access the table shows each amount for the same person as a separate record (which is how it looks in Excel).

I need to be able (without cutting and pasting) to have the Access database form record the persons name once and compile all the amounts against that person.

I have tried to work around it with queries linking names and address etc and it is working but its very clunky and unreliable and I can't mail merge as it still shows each multiple amount as a separate record. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
