I'm adding that link to my favorites. I got an email today explaining 2016 is now available for purchase. I'll have to check MSDN to see if I have a Key available to me. I have a box with Windows 7 and Office 2016 Preview that I have been planning to upgrade to W10. I think I have procrastinated long enough.

I bought Access 2016 and must say I love it so far. It seems to run much faster (I'm on Windows 10). It converted all my Access 2010 apps and are testing them, but no problems so far. This morning I contacted Microsoft to find out where I can get Access 2016 Runtime, and they said that it is not available yet. This is a serious problem for me, as Microsoft confirmed that it cannot run on Access 2010 or 2013 Runtime.

What is it, exactly, that cannot use 2010 or 2013 Run Time?

All client end users on the system needs a full developer version of Access 2016. With Access 2013 and all previous versions, a free downloadable runtime version of Access was available which was installed on the client end, alleviating the need for the installation of a full version of Access, which is both expensive and a security issue.

Are you saying that 2010/2013 Runtime cannot run db developed/modified in 2016? Doesn't 2016 still use accdb format?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

It is common practice to create an accde with the earliest version of Access. However, that does not mean an accdb created with 2016 will not work with Access 2010 RT or Access 2013 RT.

I used 2016 to create the attached DB. The form that loads on Startup has a button that generates an Hello World message box and another button that opens a second form as a pop-up in acDialog mode. Closing the second form generates a second message box. I tested it in 2010 RT as an accdb and also with a full version of 2013 as an accdr. I did not experience any problems, but I did not expect any problems.
