    2007 upsizing wizard fails

I'm trying to use the 2007 upsize wizard to upsize an .accdb to a 2008 SQL server.

After answering the question about whether I would like to upsize to an existing database or a new database the select ODBC dialog box never opens and I immediately get an ODBC call - failed error.

    Any suggestions?

    2007 upsizing wizard fails

I searched for a solution to this problem and couldn't find one anywhere, then solved it myself. It was so stupid and easy that I thought I should post my solution here.

My laptop travels between home and work, and for some reason I have the workgroup name set to my home network, not the work one. This hasn't caused me any problems until I tried to use the upsizing wizard. I simply changed the workgroup and rebooted and it worked.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
