Red face Combine a date field in mm/dd/yyyy format with a text field to produce a field without the date /

I have a form query that combines a production date in mm/dd/yyyy format with a text field in a new text box. The problem I have is that the combined field
looks like mm/dd/yyyyABCDEFG when it needs to
look like mmyyABCDEFG. How can I do this?

No date slashes (/) and convert the mm/dd/yyyy date to mmyy.

    Thank you!

=Format([date field], "mmyy") & [other field]

Usually better to put year first if you want to use the value for sorting.

It is a company requirement. We combine the mmyy of the ship month with a predefined suffix to create a code for each product so that we can apply for documents to ship overseas.

So this is an output/print format, not the way you store something in a table, right?
What are the fields in the related table(s)?
