Help with report not pulling the correct information

    Hello,

I am new to access, and it was set up by someone else. I have entered in the information on the entry form, and the data shows up in the table and the query, however when I run the report, the information does not show what is supposed to be there. I have changed the date table to reflect the correct dates, and followed the instructions left by the person doing this before, all with no luck. Any help would be appreciated as I need to enter more information into the database, but have been instructed not to until we get the report glitch figured out. I have 3 people working on this all with no success.

We don't know data structure or report design or the 'instructions left' nor what you actually did so we have no way of knowing what went wrong.

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I am curious about this statement. It may help to understand the backstory here. If thing have been changed around, it would be good to know this upfront.

    screen shots.

Ok, here are the screen shots of the report I need and the query's plus the asset table that clearly shows 2015 asset, however the report does not. The last report that worked was the end of year report. Entering new information for the year is not showing on the balancing report. The instructions I have are as follows : In order to run a current copy of the balancing report, you need to make sure the date has been changed. Go to the Date table and change the date 2, to the first day of the month following the end of the month, for example, to run the report for December 2013, use 1/1/14 as date 2.

I have done that, as well as two other people who are more familiar with access have also done that, and we still cannot get the report to reflect the new asset's. I will post each shot separately.

Without being able to look inside the DB, there is not going to be any way to help. I think you might need professional assistance. Most people who post on these help forums have some understanding of how Access works and what makes it tick. Depending on your region, I may be able to help out. There may be others willing to help out too. If you do not have the time to learn how to fix it yourself, it is likely you will need someone to remote into your computer and get things working for you. It is getting late for me. I may be able to help in 12 hours or so if you need someone to remote into your computer.

Other than that, you will have to remove sensitive data from your DB, compact and repair, zip it down, and upload it here.
