    Question Clear a table

    Hi,

I am running a macro that runs a query to build a summary table. I would like to run a step in the macro that clears the table first before I run the build query. Do I do that with another query or is there some command that I can do to clear the file.

You do it with another query, a delete query.

What do you mean by 'build a summary table' - are you actually creating a table - why? If a query can return the correct output, why create a table?

First Macro pretty easy after all

Because I need both summary and detail information for the report to do some calculations. Anyway I found out it automatically does a replace but it will send you a bunch of warning messages. So I did the action to set off the warning messages at the beginning and then turn them back on in the end of the Macro.

Report has capability of showing summary and detail data. That's what Grouping & Sorting with aggregate calcs in header/footer sections are for.
