append/overwrite (update?) junction table from Excel

    Hello All,
How can I append or overwrite a junctiontable with an Excel file (that has the same structure as the junctiontable)? The user will add data to this Excel file (or sometimes he will modify it), and I would like this to appear in the Access database. What is the best way?
    Cheers

Can you just set a link to the Excel file? If the Excel file is too complicated for linking, importing data for new records or update records will not be easy. http://www.accessmvp.com/KDSnell/EXCEL_Import.htm

Why involve Excel instead of entering data directly to Access?

I started to develop the data entry part of the database, but don`t get more time to finish it, have to finish this project very quickly... The Excel files are quite simple. Yes, maybe I just link them...but then I am worried what can go wrong when users start to mess up the Excel files and thus the database.

If they mess up the Excel file then the import process also gets messed up. But at least data already in the db won't get ruined, maybe. Whenever users have direct access to raw data structure (such as Excel file or tables and queries), anything can happen.
