    Number data type

I want to have a number field with two decimal points where when the number is entered it recognises both 1.1 and 1.10, 1.2 and 1.20 etc. I have tried the normal types availabe but when I enter 1.10 it defaults to 1.1. Is there anyway round this problem please.

    Bernard,

I am afraid that this is going to always happen. As I see it, you have two options:

    1) On your forms, queries, and reports, use number formatting to force the displayed value to always show two decimal places or

    2) Use a text data type for that field, and then rely on type conversions if you ever need to calculate using that value
