Angry Where is my runtime program?

I am running Access 2003 on the XP operating system. When I go to Control Panel Add and Remove programs it shows that I have Access 2003 Runtime and Access 2007(English) installed on my computer. I have installed these and they appear installed as the 2003 version is 103 MB and the 2007 is 112 MB. But when I look at Start/Programs I do not find the programs. How do I activate a runtime session?

Thanks again for your help on this great forum

this is very complex. generally, when you right click an mdb file you can OPEN WITH... either the runtime or the full version. since you seem to have an older version of runtime with a newer version of access, not sure what to tell you regarding this. I would be careful about uninstalling the 03 runtime if you need it for something though, because the executable is most likely NOT offered anymore. MS does not offer it on their website anymore

    Unhappy Access 07 plus runtime?

After searching and searching I get the message that it is futile to attempt to get the Access 03 runtime(included in the Visual Studio Tools). It looks like MS really screwed us all on that one! I can't afford to upgrade to the latest Office, nor do I want to. My question is can I just purchase Access 2007 and put on my computer or will it cause conflicts with other Office 2003 modules? I think that I understand that 07 Runtime can be downloaded free for Access 07. Does anyone know for sure that this is the case?

I could use some quality advice.
