Migrating split Access 2010 dbase to 2013

I support an Access 2010 dbase for a group of 18 users. It's a simple split database; a few linked tables, with some queries, forms, and reports written off them. Each user has a "local" front end copy on their home drive, and the back end lives on a shared drive. I control the back end. This dbase has been around for at least 14 years in various versions of Access, and works well. Mostly the support I provide is changing a parameter in a query.

We're upgrading to Access 2013 and I'm wondering if anyone has run into issues doing this with a split dbase. I've worked in 2013 with a non-split dbase, no problem. But since I'll be point-of-contact for any user questions, I'd like to be forewarned and forearmed if possible.

I'm assuming this is a simple matter of opening the files in the correct format, re-linking BE and FE, and making sure the users can open the FE files in the correct format.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

The only problem I've had with access 2013 is that it will not go back to access 2007, even though it's theoretically the same format. In other words, keep your back end/front end in the lowest common denominator version or you may run into some trouble. If you are updating everyone in the office to office 2013 then you'll have no difficulties at all (or shouldn't)

Why do you say "don't convert"?

ranman has a penchant for excessively brief posts

I think he was echoing what I said, unless *everyone* using the database is moving to 2013, do not convert your database (converting it from 2007 to 2013 can happen if you compact/repair a 2007 version database from a 2013 version machine or make design changes and save them, anything prior to 2007 you have to physically convert the format so it doesn't matter if you compact/repair or make design changes).
