    Re: https://www.accessforums.net/securit...-db-47185.html

    Two questions:

    1. What do I need to request from the networking guys (they don't understand this stuff) to be set up like the other users so I can login?
    2. Is there any way I can set up a dummy system.mdw file containing the username and password I know works?

    1. login to what - Access database? Login procedure is common topic in forum

    2. mdw is Access 2003 and earlier file type, don't really know what you are asking for
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

.mdw file refers to the old Access User Security that was dropped after 2003. One should not be starting anything new with that. It does not involve the networking at all, it is purely database security.
