Selecting and saving multiple items from a list box

Fairly new user so please be gentle....

I will describe what I need to do and I will be open to any suggestions on the easiest way to accomplish this.

I need to have form with a combo box that a user makes a selection from (storing this value in a given field on a table) and have that selection populate a multi-select list box. The the user will then select multiple items from the list box and have all of them store in single field on a given table. I know that storing a string of data in a single field isn't the best design however I think it will work the best for me.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated... also please let me know if I am going about the described process in a "backward" way.

    Thanks,
    Stu

    Stu,

I know you think that that design will work well for you, but I strongly urge you to reconsider. Packing what amounts to multiple data points into a single field is almost always a very bad idea, and it will come back to bite you later.
