Hello,
Just a general question. I am in the early stages of learning SQL which at the moment goes into building tables, back end stuff. Do you apply the same method when building the front end or do you use different software?
Thanks
Ross

Not sure I understand the question...Do you apply the same method when building the front end or do you use different software?
Typically, your back-end has all your data tables (and only data tables).
And your front-end has your queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA code.
The front-end can be done in a myriad of different programs (Access, Visual Basic, etc).
Think that answers my question...
Mainly was trying to figure what method was used when the user starts entering the data to the database that's been build using sql
SQL Server is a back end database. Access or Visual Studio can be used to develop a Windows based front end. Or one can use Visual Studio to build an ASP .Net framework to build a web front end..... I get a little fuzzy on the product naming with Visual Studio - ASP - .Net but that is still the general idea; one builds either a Windows based front end or a Web based front end.....
