Adding a Expense field to Northwind Services Database

I know I'm going to get a bunch of silly comments but I am new to Microsoft Access and found this to be the best forum.
I am trying to create/modify a database to suite my small business needs. It seems that the Northwind Services Database
looks to have everything that I need except for a Expense field. I would like to add the field to track my business

expenses for equipment repair/purchase and other needed supplies. I am trying to track client names, addresses, job quotes,
completion dates and run a costs/profit reports. Is this a simple process to add or is there another template
that would be better suited for my needs?

    Thanks in advance.

I haven't looked at Northwind in depth but I expect this is likely a bit more complicated than just adding a new field. How do you want to track expenses for each job - one lump figure or do you want details documented in the db, meaning a transaction record for each and every purchase?

It would be nice to have a field for each expense job for say Paint/Lumber etc. and also a field for equipment supplies which could be a whole different table/field if I'm describing correctly. LIke I said, I'm new to Access but it looks the best suited for my needs and can be customized.

    Thanks

Not sure what "expense job" means. What are "equipment supplies"?

Maybe will get ideas from http://www.microsofttemplates.org/mi...e-tracker.html

    and http://win.cutephp.com/t/access_data...e_and_expense/

Also, Desktop Expense Report database template http://access.microsofttemplates.org...-template.html
