    display a message in a text box

    What am I doing wrong?
    I am trying to display a message in a text box.

    Dim TextBox1 As TextBox
    TextBox1.Text = "Generating SimCtrl Directive XML"



    but I get a "Object variable or With block variable not set" error.

    i m not getting what you r trying to achieve.

    but would highly recommend not to do dimming of textboxes.

    In case if you want to use a message in textbox you can try textbox1.value = " message " and associate it with the event.

    Don't need to declare textbox object. Don't use Text property.

    Me.TextBox1 = "Generating SimCtrl Directive XML"
