Help change Field Type to short text for alphanumeric entries or help me with a better solution.

I have a table in my database I need to change the field type to short text in order to display numbers and letters in a PO number. However, everything is greyed-out and it won’t let me change the field type. Any help here would be much appreciated. I was also wondering if I could create a button to where I could take an old order, click on the button, and keep all the information the same, but give it an new Work Order # (which generates a new number each time a new order is placed anyways). Thanks very much. Lonnie

Yes. I had an ah-ha moment after posting and realized the solution. However, I created another thread to help with the second question I asked.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
