    Newly added record Search

    hi everyone,

I am somewhat new at Access and trying to create a simple query database for a project that I am involved with. I have most things worked out but on my main table, whenever I add a new record to it, the search function (where I am querying the main table using LIKE condition) is not showing up on the search result. Any idea how I can fix this?

    thanks.

as it is not clear what you mean by your 'search function' this is only a guess - but it may simply be a need to requery the form in order to update its record set. You can verify this if it works once you close and reopen the form. If so, trigger a requery in an event after adding the new record.

I figured it out. it was the data that I was given that were not clean so it was giving me issues with the query itself when new rows were added!

    thanks!
