    Sorting Report in Alphabetical Order

    For Access 2007:

In the access database I'm using the static reports are all fine, they are sorted properly in alphabetical order. However I have reports that show hours missed by an employee for a given week and whenever I enter in the parameters for the week I want it brings forth a report which is not in alphabetical order.

    I've tried:

-Selecting the "advanced filter" from the home screen, choosing employee then selecting "ascending" or "descending" then applying the sort.
-Going back through "Report Wizard" and selecting Employee field and applying the Ascending or Descending, and that does not work either

How do I go about making the names in a report come up in Alphabetical order?

Is Employees table included in the report RecordSource? What table is Employee field from - Attendance table? Does this field have lookup set in table? What is the data type of this field?

Image is not showing. Screenshot of what?

If you want to provide db, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Reports have their own Sorting and Group. You cannot depend on the sort order of the recordsource.

    See here
    and Allen Browne's comment
    info here.
