Creating DB to use e-mail service other than Outlook

Gurus - I humbly ask for your assistance!

Is there a way (somewhat easily) to set-up my database with coding that will always use my company's e-mail (Google) as opposed to Outlook? Or do I have to write the coding at each Macro creation? can someone help me with the code writing for this function, or point me in the right direction? I want to be able to mail report results direct to specific departments/co-workers with the click of a button....

Hoping this can be done. (please note, I am not a programmer or designer by trade....I'm doing this with no formal training)

Try Googling for "send email from Access using GMail" The first result should be what you're looking for (although I haven't actually tried it).

    Here's a step-by-step for doing just that:

Ok - I get this to work when I hit "RUN" from VB Module. what are the steps to incorporate this into a specific Macro (run a query, and e-mail the query results)? Again, I'm sorry, as I have zero experience doing this stuff....and THANK YOU!!!!

    Depends. Options:

    1. embed data in the email message

    2. attach a file

The referenced example is simple and doesn't get into that. This is a common topic in forum. Lots of threads with examples. https://www.accessforums.net/macros/...cro-38724.html
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
