Truncating data in Memo field

I'm importing an Excel file into an existing table. All fields are set to "Memo" since the data in some records are quite lengthy, many between 500-1,000 characters. (Answers to survey questions)

I viewed another thread and someone suggested removing the "@" in the memo properties (under "format"). I've done this, but the data is still being cut off.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?
