If I modify recordset in vba codes by using edit and update method, by the end of that operation does it really modify the recordset held in local memory? I don't suppose it is changing data in the linked database yet until I do a full requery?

It changes the table record.
Using forms to immediately edit/update a table
combo box disable edit (update)
