Max users on a network drive

I was just wondering how many users Access would be able to handle on a split frontend and backend database? The backend will be on a network drive and the frontend will be installed on each workstation. My database is pretty simple with no relationships if that matters. Also using Win7 and some users will have Office 2010 and others will have 2013. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

That's kind of a loaded question! Well designed database, Fast network, etc...
The norm is 10 to 20 but even that is not a given.

What are some of the things that will happen so I know what to look for if the system can't handle all the traffic? I also understand that if this does not work out, I will have to upgrade to a server backend. Is that correct?

How much users can the server backend handle?
