Now the explanation as you may face this problem again both the product and the sub_contractor list boxes are linked to proj_link and not to the new field proj_id that you have created. although examining the form I saw that you tried to modify the query condition ot the sub-contractor list box. this is what was happening. The product was being entered in product details table with the the link_id = proj_id that you had created and thus it was not appearing.

Study the relationship. The primary key of the tblProject Details is linked to both the link keys of Product and sub-contractor details table. Try to understand before I did the structure for you you had 6 product fields and 3 subcontractor fields o project details table. This is not advisable because you will not always enter 6 products or 3 subcontractors most of the time it is less. Therefore I made seperate tables for them. Now when data is recorded we need to put them back so that it makes sense. Thus link Is made in the following way. Pk of project details linked to the FK of Product and Su-contractors details. Now this relationship is very important because based on this we will compile our data. Now Proj_id that you have entered is important from the users point of view. Keeping the relationship intact you proj_id is nothing but another field in the table. Filter option will run just fine if you do the RecordSource of the form "SELECT * From tblProjectDetails WHERE proj_id"& Me.Proj_id.Open the list box in the Project details form and go to the query you will see the link Id is = Proj_link. Thus when you move using next, previous with the change in proj_link the list boxes are also updated.Remember the most important part of the database starts not in the computer but on the drawing board. Chalk out tables and relationships codes comes later. Most of the problems that you will find in databases is due to faulty table structure.

I just changed the adjustment replace proj_id in the subcontactor List_box query criteria, in the enter product button changed proj_id to proj_link. Thats all.

I am just wondering is your real name farhana. You really owe me a treat!!! just kidding.
