    Access ODBC connection issue

Hello, we use ODBC to connect to our quick books data. Everything was working fine, then we upgraded our server. now when we first open the existing access databases and try to run the reports we get an "ODBC failed" message. we then have to open one of the tables that is linked through ODBC, then we can run the reports and queries. It only has to be done when we first open the database or if we leave the database open for more than a couple of hours.

the users have admin rights on the server and local machines. we uninstalled and reinstalled the odbc driver and connection. any ideas why we would need to open a table to "refresh" the data connection?

    many thanks in advance.

Is it possible th OCBC connection was cut somewhere in code?
    or timeout?
