Access 2007 resource issue fixed by installing 2010 runtime

    Hi there,

We are having an issue where running MS Access 2007 report results in the report bombing out and an error related to lack of resources.

We installed the Access 2010 runtime and problem solved!

Does anyone know why this would work? Is there a way NOT to have to install 2010 runtime?

We were still running the reports in 2007 reporting mode.

    Thanks for any help

All I can think of is some files are not being recognized by Access in the normal install, but the runtime took care of it.
Unless you run another full install with service pack updates, (or upgrade)

Now just using the 2010 runtime seems to work (with the latest patches). That might be the way we have to go. Strange though.

And I wonder if there are NEW bugs in the 2010 runtime that will affect all of our reports! Does anyone know of any issues that may be caused by using the 2010 runtime having used the 2007 runtime previously?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
