    loading an ActiveX control error

When i attempt to build mde from an mdb file i get the following error.

There was an error loading an ActiveX control on one of your forms or reports.
For more information on registering an ActiveX control, click Help.

I tried the trick with importing forms into another new database and then locate the missing ActiveX reference but i guess i am either not understanding how to do that or it's not even possible to be found when you deal with 100's activeX objects.

Any suggestion, advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    P.S. it's an Access 97 mdb

Hmm i came across all those posts and as mentioned i either do not understand how to find the missing/unregistered object or it's even not possible to isolate that ActiveX.

If you can suggest anything concrete please let me know. Thank you so much

Do the controls work in mdb?

Sorry, never had to use ActiveX controls in a deployed db. All I know is if Access can't find the reference file needed on a user's machine, then will have to find it and put on machine. Maybe it can be found on another computer or downloaded. I've also never deployed mde/accde. Maybe they can't have ActiveX controls?

I have been able to install ActiveX controls on a form without issue but this was testing ActiveX controls packed with Access. The one time I tried to install and register a 3rd-party control, failed miserably.
