Number of Records Found by a Query?

Is it possible to get a query to also tell me how many records were found by it?

Found some examples on the web, but they didn't work. Count(*) just returns a count of 1 for each record, for instance. I am looking for a total count of all records returned by a query.

    thnx!

It would be simplest to count the records on the form or report the query is being used for. You could also use a DCount() on the query to count the records.
