    i have lost everything!!!

    i made a database that has been working fine so far.
    suddenly, when i open the access file it is saying: " "ID" is not an index in this table".


    do you know how this has happened and what shall i do?
    moreover, all the the visual basic is gone and it is totally empty. any help is appreciated

    Hope you have a backup. This normally occurs when corruption takes place and you hit enter when it asks you upon closing the db. Your code is GONE forever. MAYBE the tables are not corrupt or the forms but I suspect that something is missing in the record source for something.

    thank you. may it be done by a virus? or someone who had access to the file did that?

    Access db has been known to corrupt from obscure cause that cannot be explained, although what you describe seems highly unusual.

    Usually it's a single control or form will corrupt and usually during development when lots of modifications are done.
