    Slow Database Response

    I have a new database which has only three records test data. The size is 422MB no pictures. The database is slow to open forms and extremely slow when closing what can cause this

    That's beyond large, and there are no pictures as form backgrounds or anything? Have you done a compact/repair?

    Slow Database Response

    I have a photo in the header of each form and report probably that is it. How can save this photo in another location and it can be reference when the form or report opens. the photo is the same.

    That could be the problem though there would have to be a lot of them to get to 400Mb. Did you compact/repair?

    Access is bad at this type of thing. As an example, I just started with an mdb that was 3.8Mb. I embedded a 200k picture, but the resulting file size was 8.4Mb, not 4Mb. As long as the location will remain available, you can link to it instead of embedding it. To do so you would change the picture type property.
