    Editing forms suddenly gone wrong

Running Access 2002 on Vista: yesterday I went to edit a form and it looked different. There is no FORM section and it looks like I am editing a report. I have to select "form" from the drop down box in the properties window. I checked another database and it is the same so it doesn't appear to be a corruption in the database. I uninstalled Access and reinstalled it with no effect.

I think I have attached a jpg file to show what the edit form looks like now (sorry, first time I have used this forum so unsure if I am using correctly).

I can't think what I have done to change the way forms are displayed in edit mode. Any suggestions?

I don't know what the Edit Mode of a form is but your picture is what I would expect for the Design View of a form.

Yes sorry i meant design view. Sometimes I wonder about myself and how totally stupid I am. I installed Access on another PC (and removed it again so as not to break my license). As soon as I looked at it I could see the problem. Somehow I had turned off rulers and so the familiar view wasn't there any more. Really sorry to trouble you all. I will now go and hang my head in shame.
