Two different users accessing Access database

I'm building a database for a very small startup business. Only my friend and I will be using it in the foreseeable future. Presently, I have split the database into front and back ends and have them both in a Dropbox folder that is shared between us. I am worried that if we both edit the database at the same time, we will end up with conflicting copies and this will be a nightmare.

Is there a better way to set this up? I have a PC at home that is always on... should I be hosting the back end on there? If so what is the best way to do this?

Each user should have their own copy of the frontend.

But what about the back end? Will I not run into problems if the back end is in Dropbox?

Okay, Dropbox is just a fileshare site? Each user must download the file, edit, then re-upload? Yes, that does sound like an issue. Each user is replacing the file.

A shared backend should be on a file server that multiple users can access.
