    Automatic Serial Numbers

    Hello,



    So my problem is that i need to know how to get automatic serial numbers on data. I want it so that when you add data a serial number is given to it right away. Please help i am really stuck on this. Thanks

    Look at the DMax() function. Is your system multi-user?

    No it is not a Multi user. Where is the DMax() function?

    Access97, Win98/ME...hmmm. Do you have VBA help? I have heard ac97 help was the best. Open a code module and then press F1 and search.

    Yeah that info wasn't right haha. Fixed it tho. But sorry i still cant figure it out.

    <ALT> F11 and then F1 and search.

    Yeah i just dont know any code i'm not very good at using VB.

    The records will be put in manually. If thats what you were asking.

    Nope! Will you be using a FORM to input the records? If you will be just inputting the data into the table interface then maybe an AutoNumber field will satisfy your need.
