How to find record with certain field, and use the record to autopulate other fields.

    Hi all,

In my form i have a field called JNumber in the table AccInfo. Once the user enters the JNumber I want to find the record in that table that has the according JNumber and autopopulate the other fields in the form (FName,LName) based on the FName and LName in that record. Can someone help me please.

    Thanks.

    Is your form bound?
Have you considered a pop-up form? Then using the result of user input use the OpenArgs to open the form to the specific record.
Do users really understand JNumbers more than LastName, FirstName?
You may get some other ideas for dynamic queries and forms/reports from here.

    Good luck
